Danilo Cunha, Brazilian photographer and visual artist, lives in the city of Mogi Mirim, SP. He started in photography by chance, making skateboarding videos, becoming interested and gradually seeking his identity.
His images deal with the dynamics of the streets, aiming at the empowerment of women and the cinematographic image, telling people's stories and placing them as protagonists. In the various and mixed techniques, the artist uses his own photographs as a basis for stenciling and, through art, Danilo has the intention of individual acceptance of the being and, therefore, he always uses words that provoke reflection.
In addition to the work present in public spaces – in which the public necessarily encounters art and is filled with it, the artist also maintains works in environments that value the authorship. Among his main references are Jean-Michel Basquiat, Cy Twombly, Merz, Robert Rauschenberg, Andy Warhol, Daniel Melim and Obey Giant.
